Re: Who's brave enough to clone my #1??
Just read the whole saga. Very cool.
Looking forward to hearing how batch 1 turns out. Also hoping I can jump in on batch 2 down the road.

update. stephen douglas had some changes in his life apparently and was not able to meet several deadlines on the run of 10 pcs.
i told matt to just send them to me in whatever state they are in, i am now the assembler, depsite my earlier wishes to be arm's length from that part.
more coming soon!

Re: Who's brave enough to clone my #1??
new deadline for the 10 proto protos
march 10!
they are sounding every bit as good as i hoped they would. the flexibility of the two channel pregain setup is wonderful also. for many players, can take the place of two ( or more!) fuzzes.
hit me or matt up to get on the list to be notified ( not obligated to buy one, notification only).

Re: Who's brave enough to clone my #1??
updated info on the pedal:
the fuzz is still as outlined in the thread, two channel, each with separate voicing, bass rolloff and gain controls for each. the 2 color LED for ' channel" stays lit even when pedal is in bypass so you know which channel you are on before using the fuzz.
-NPN , no dumb charge pump, takes all normal neg. ground power.
my famous "easyface fuzz" based, silicon/ Ge hybrid with the latest tweaks and upgrades not seen in the DIY versions.
super cleanup regardless of gain settings from guitar volume or playing dynamics in both channels, roaring yet articulate fuzz when gains are up above 60%.

good question.cajone5 wrote:How is the relative volume between the two sides with significantly different gain and voice settings?
if your settings are radically different , you might notice a slight mismatch, but in my use, both sides are well matched even when the two pregains are pretty different.
because of the normal fuzzface-like compression of the fat , heavy fuzz settings, the volume sort of takes care of itself, what might seem too loud is in fact sitting 'right' in the mix.
the only true full solution to the equation would be two masters ( at that point it would be two pedals in one box). but for most users, this setup will work great for two channel use without compromise

Re: Who's brave enough to clone my #1??
Is it ugly? YES
Is it done? KINDA
Are there some available for sale? YES
Will the V.2 be any different? NO. Only cosmetically. the circuit is done.
I have six of these V.1 color that I should be able to sell/ship next week (will officially post on the third party page) and Joe has 3. I'll whip up a quick feature/function video for you guys as soon as they arrive. Pretty excited that this thing finally exists and I'm still in my 30s. Now that these are done and sounding right, we'll move on to the cases looking pretty.
