here's the last from this weekend..... shootout between a pigdog mother i got in a MKI swap with steve, and castledine MKI #3 rehoused exactly like the original for me by the good mr. castledine.....

The one on the left seems to have more output and more bass but the fuzz character is equally fantastic. I reckon the one on the right would suit my setup better, but which is which?

Bloody great boxes both of em :drool2:

The left one is the pigdog MOTHER, the right one is Stu's MkOne Bender--
(an exact replica of his original *early* Mk1 - (on perfboard, gooped)
which some believe to be one of the earliest wooden ones, rehoused. and non-true bypass... i love 'em both but
That MOTHER truly IS a mean mutherhubbard!! it's super loud, bassy and biased to be super angry sounding - as witnessed here- right on the edge of almost squealing, but not quite. We should do another comparison (with equal volume) and add a Jerms Mk1 and Jim's original Mk1, my Loony and hell, even a DAM 1965.
