wah wah extravaganza
here's a collage of several different wahs: top logo crybaby(w/halo inductor), top logo vox king wah (w/ trash can inductor), early crybaby (w/ blank bottom plate and small gold serial # sitcker, and trash can), cry baby (trash can), cry baby (w/stack of dimes on a small board), maestro BG-1, maestro BG-2, 72 colorsound, new D*A*M/castledine/colorsound wow fuzz..... all done clean then with a head buzz in front..... same signal chain too: 59' les paul special and the series 2000 into newer marshall 4x12 miced with an older beta 57 and a vintage white MD421 into pro tools.....

redeye, the licks were perfect!
the bg2 is really nice. if i had not heard the bg1 first i would say one of the best of the lot.
the colorsounds are great! kudos to stu for capturing the voicing of the original, sounds very very close. i can see why people liked the colorsounds, the had a lower voice than vox CB as far as i can tell. makes for a very expressive sweep.

wow. i have maestro boomerang, bg1, bg2 etc as permanent searches on ebay. but i missed that one. glad you found a bg1 reasonably cheap. i think we paid 280 for ours ( last minute manual snipe), and the one that sold a month before ours , march 2010, sold for approx 300. zac and i have a blood brother pact to never sell ours for less than 1K. nary a solder joint has ever been sullied.

hey joe, yeah mines in pretty stelllar condition... just a small chip on the front and a scratch or two on the left side..... so is that pot original? it's so tiny, i'm guessing it is 'cause the joints look untouched..... not sure what's up with the ampeg sticker on the bottom either....
all but the top logo king wah are mine too!!
