the OC84 is darker and has less gain at minimum than the OC75's, at least in person... not sure the darker qualities come thru... or maybe the edge on the OC75's is getting rolled off in the recording.... you may need headphones to really hear it....

The oc-84 one is a touch lower gain with the fuzz rolled all the way back and its a little more low midrange focused with a slightly darker tone. The oc-75 one has a little more top, touch more gain and a little more gated sizzling. Pretty close all in all though. The amp was set fairly low for this demo which may have had a bit to do with stuff sounding super similar, they do all sound similar though. All great! The castledine kills!!!

I've had the OC84 and got the OC75 and from memory it's how you guys describe it and that's why I wanted the OC75 (it's almost SCB territory) thought my memory was playing tricks on me, will blast it later on proper speakers

Great comparison! Thanks :headbanger:
The differences come through - even on a cell phone!
Love the OC84's darker sound and growl. I'm more than happy with mine - as tempting as the OC75's are ...
I would not like to adjust my amp for even less sparkle to cope with brighter Fuzz...
(so there it is - my official attempt of an excuse to not become all about the OC75's
