thanks for the pix dave!! i knew those were floating around somewhere..... unfortunately his has the hardwired cable in a different spot than mine..... :scared: i guess i found some other old geezers pubes...... :bong2:

WOW...cool pictures! :badteeth: The PEP is a cool circuit and tonally seems to me to sit in between a FZ-1 and a MK I. It's a weird circuit though as it has only 2 transistors and it runs on 9V so maybe it had nothing to do with either one of those pedals but I'll be damned if it doesn't have every distinct tonal characteristics of those two pedals. Did it come before the MK I or after it? The FZ-1 was the very first but where does the PEP sit in the timeline? Due to the rarity of these nowadays one can assume that it was one of those things that got made and then the designer moved on to something else before giving it much of a chance? :hmm: Quite a versatile circuit though, the fuzz control has WAY more range than a MK I and its got a lot more warmth and sustain than an FZ-1. I'm really kind of enamored with this pedal and we're lucky to have a talented builder like Jerms to be able to make a clone that sounds so close!! :dance:

those are mine...when you weren't looking I stuck the PEP box down my pants so I could get closer to it :freak:
