red rooster range frequency?

Post by ben kenobi »

does anyone know what frequency range a red rooster have?
I use my pedal range knob set to almost 1 or 2..very subtle and Boost knob to 3 o clock..cause I feel like if I turn up the range knob,
I get more bass boost than treble. still love it tho
so I'm curious if I set a range knob to zero, what frequencies I'm boosting..

I could be wrong, but I think the Red Rooster with the range at minimum you get a traditional treble booster setting. As you increase the range more of the lower frequencies appear. Essentially the range acts as a bass attenuation control.

Counter-clockwise adds treble... The "real" Rangemaster setting is pretty much all the way to the left.
I would start at 9:00 and adjust from there.

thanks!!
Actually I've never used this kinda high-end pedal before in my life..
I was always the person who thought that using pedals degrade the quality of an amp.
but this pedal totally changed my mind..
I'm playing with this for hours... and can't be tired of this..
this is a very sensitive pedal. I really appreciate it.

I have a blue red rooster rr-9 I guess it has a oc72
now I wonder if the ones that have oc71, or oc45 give a different range of sound as I turn up a range knob / boost knob.
I wish I could compare all of them right now!
