Re: Bowie's Blackstar 2016
I'm digging it.
I can't stand when he tries to break the top 40 and for me this kind if harkens back to Low, Lodger, Scary Monsters.
Edit:
Been listening to the back catalogue lately and have to admit, I like Let's Dance. Maybe not so much the production (Scary Monsters, having hit's and all, was still an abrasive album) but the song itself is top notch. I see I'm becoming less critical more open minded as I get older.

Yep
The song Blackstar alone is up there with his best.
Brilliant!

To me it sounds like the dude is on a pyschdelic rage... could be he was on some strong killers of pain also know as.... well ..
To my ears The Bow-a-tron needed Ronson as much as The Rolling Stone Needed Mick Taylor.
Not to mention Cream Clapatron and so forth...

No I kind of fucked up that.
I meant Bowie sounded best to my ears with Ronson.
Just like the Rolling Stones made very good music with Brian and Mick.
But again to my ears not so good music after Mick left.
