Great ‘albums’

Post by innerflight »

Was inspired to listen to this Spiritualized album today and while all the songs individually are awesome the whole thing when you listen to it from start to finish takes you on a real journey. It made me think you don’t really get that much anymore.

So what is your favourite?

Loved all the concept albums you used to get in the 70’s and 80’s

Yeah, an amazing album, and very much has a cohesive feel to it. Some killer albums came out in 1997!

Super Furry Animals - Radiator is my fav from that year.

Share the love for "Radiator" and the Super Furries. So much talent but never seemed to get the love they deserved. Saw them around 98 or so in Leeds (with the High Llamas as the support!) and then a bunch of times in Oz when they toured with a friend's band. Always great.

Yup, love the furries, seen them live each time they played here in Aberdeen 1997 - 2001.

Entirely obvious, but Dark Side of The Moon. The songs themselves can barely function as stand-alones.

the 90's were great for albums, Ten, Mellon Collie, Nevermind, Purple... i could go on for a while,
lately though it seems a bit of a lost art...
