I grew up listening to Isaac Hayes, but I'd never heard this before: the full, 33-minute extended psychedelic jam of "Do Your Thing", with the Bar-Kays and guitarist Michael Toles absolutely ripping shit up. It's got everything I love: fuzz AND wah. And vibrato. It is flat-out incredible. :headpop:
It's on a new Isaac Hayes compilation, "The Spirit of Memphis". Trouble is I could only find this 22-minute version online and you really should hear all 33 minutes. But dive in here!
