1 knob fuzz bonanza (Space Cakes & Fuzzboxes), Rangemasters too(two)

Post by blunder »

Hey everybody. Got some fuzzes up for grabs. I know I haven't been around these parts much the past couple years. I never stopped building, but was too busy with my other pedal building gig. Since I'm no longer doing that, I have more time to build stuff I want. I'll be adding things here as I finish them.

Space Cakes
These are my tribute to the two transistor fuzzboxes that I love so much. Sort of a mashup of a Fuzzface, MK1.5 and the CS Fuzzbox.
Full on gnarly, exploding fuzz tones at full bore. Roll back your guitars volume and you get a very dynamic fuzz tone that responds really well to your picking hand. Fuzz set to full. Knob is volume control. Built on turret board. Both of these use NPN transistors, so added a dc jack and led's. 1590BBS enclosures with topjacks. Hammered paint on the tops with polished sides.

#1 OC141's $115
This one is gainer and angrier than #2. Still cleans up nicely but is a bit heavier than #2

Fuzzbox clones
No secret that I love the Fuzzbox. It's one of my favorites. These are tuned comparing against both of my original Fuzzboxes. I did bump the output volume a little but not so much that it gets too far from the original circuit.
1590 BBS enclosures with top jacks. DC jack and big ass LED's. Hammered tops with polished sides.

#2 I substituted 2N3565 transistors in this one. Still sounds like a Fuzzbox, but reacts a little differently when rolling back your guitar volume. Doesn't get quite as gated as the stock circuit. $89

Bonanza is right. They all look fucking great (although the images of the first Fuzzbox clone aren't showing for me).
