Got my Fuzz Sound!

Post by cubba »

It's #19 and I'm one happy fuzzmonger!!!

Sounds like nothing else I've ever heard.
A rich, beautiful, silky textured fuzz.
Growls and purrs at the same time!
The Treb/Bass control makes it adapt to any guitar/amp I plug it into.
Thanks Dave for making such kool stuff!

:crackjam:

Here's a little clip:

GAWD Dammit, I was starting to mellow and get ready for bed...........I heard that clip and now I want to play my 1966 and think about 2010 when my Fuzz Sound will get here (or is the spelled hear?)

Seriously, Thanks and I love the box colour.

The Fs is a real mean and versatile mofo. The TnB is where the magic is at... Wonderfully eq'd.
I think the fuzzsound is really the best box Dave builds atm. It's at the top of my personal podium, togheter with my 1966 superer bee... head to head. Second place is the Sola mkII... :drool2:
Too bad I gotta give it back to the real owner... OR ELSE! :catfight:

Seeing how everyone on this thread is lamenting having to wait for their Fuzz Sound to arrive,
I feel a little bad (tho' not too much :hihi:) ... but really,
not trying to gloat, just happy to have one and share the tones for those in wait.
I s'pose I was lucky to have been online and ready when Dave sent the email out.

I would think that with the economy being the way it is,
some folks on the list aren't going to have the funds when their name comes up and the list will shorten a bit.

What's also nice about the Fuzz Sound is that it's pretty quiet when engaged
but your not playing. I'd think a pedal with this much gain would be way noisier
(Big Muffs come to mind) in between stops or when notes are decaying.
This signal-noise ratio translates into a big pillowy fuzz with lots of detail
and just the right amount of textured bite.

Dave I'm really enjoying the Dlx Memory Man. I bought it broken & on the cheap some 5+ yrs ago from a friend who used to use it on his board. It sat for a long time 'til recently (Graemy's video got me off my arse, thx mate) I finally got around to bringing it to Howard Davis for a repair. He's the guy who upgraded MM into the Dlx MM for E-H, so he's the go-to guy for that pedal (and more). I actually visited him in person since we don't live that far apart. The pedal had some cold solder joint issues, all of which he fixed and he also re-calibrated it.
I see a ton of new delays coming out of late from many booteek and mainstream builders & I'm interested :drool2: in all of them, but I wonder why more folks aren't just using these. There's at least 3 reissues, mine being from the first batch, plus the originals from the 70's/80's out there to choose from. They have a lush, warm sound, lots of tape-delay type flava and lots of the features folks are looking for.
