What makes D*A*M pedals so effing good?

I am sure OC81D are great, but what is wrong with OC75 ?.
they sounds great in my MKII.

#1 reason for the D*A*M pedals are so Effing good is that because the captain got the skill. not only because of the tranny that he uses....
I bet he could use Skittles or cajun boiled peanuts as trannies and make it sounds great. . . (or may be not... )

a pretty fat set of Mullards. 2x OC84's and 1x OC42

works pretty D*A*M good for me, super crunchy smooth and sweet depending how you set it... better'n candy. so yeah, the man knows what to use and doesn't seem the slightest constrained in terms of transistor choices.

if the captain's got the hardware implanted already, he can just get the latest program downloaded from the mothership directly.
