that was one of my guesses. Keep in mind i tried to match the intro to to demos.
thanks, you are helping narrow down my DAM selection. is/can the 1966 be had, i.e. i recently learned about these ass kicking pedals and based on a post by el captain (i think don't quote me) i got the impression the 1966 may not be easy to get.

Super Bee.....that is the current 'Vox' Tone Bender fix we offer....should nail it and some with the correct set up.

wow! that is some real customer service, thank you sir.
This really helps, though i was intitially drawn to the MKII (its got the reputation), but the intro sound has less "crack" in the tone, a little smoother but keeps the fuzz raspiness. the super bee caught my eye (ah ear), but i think I saw a comment that the sustain of the super bee is weaker, i need sustain, if the super bee can last, oh 10 seconds i'm sold on it.
les paul or tele, into all tube amps. peace.
