red rooster question?
hey i've got a older rooster that pops like a MF when you turn it on.... but when you turn it off.... it sounds just stellar though and i'd like to start using it but can't get past the popping.... i'm thinking i should just send it back home for a tune up....

Same here. Pressing the switch a few times does sort the problem for a while but it gradually comes back during a full nights practice.
I could be wrong but i think the older versions had one less resistor, possibly a pull-down resistor but Dave would have to confirm that. The newer Rooster my brother has doesn't pop as much as my old one.

Also try plugging it in instead of using a battery. As odd as it sounds, this could be solution.

Read your Book of Fuzz guys...
Thou shalt not run thee fuzz wit adapter. Salvation shall await those who embrace batteries.
Condolences, the bums lost!
