I've listened to as many of the superbee clips as I can find, and was wondering since it's based off of a vox TB if it could do clips like in this demo- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vphRkUHMYwk
(ignore the robot voice...)

All of the Super Bee clips I've heard have been pretty aggresive,which is cool, but are not in the lower gain side like some of the settings in the video.

Will the 'bee have the same sort of sound with the fuzz turned down? Or am I looking for the sound in the wrong pedal??

i would say no. i have that exact same 1969 pedal and one of Dave's yellow super bees and theyre miles apart. Both are amazing in their own right. That demo doesnt do the vox tb justice. Its a sweet raspy hard driven fuzz. The super bee is a wall of bassy fuzzy goodness. At least that's how my super bee sounds to me.

Scott is right, if you want to cop the sound then look elsewhere.
