Re: The Setup of the Day Thread
I've had two nik huber guitars, one was the prototype for the krautster and had a brazilian board.stella_blues wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2017 6:40 pmZuff-1A wrote:Very cool setup!

easily the best craftsmanship i've ever seen on a guitar. and it was as toneful as anything i've played....

Re: The Setup of the Day Thread
Now with bonus plant life!
Spent my first proper day with the Greco LP. Set the action, adjusted the pickup heights (neck was way too high, bridge was way too low) and tweaked the pole pieces. Also did the 50s wiring. Gave it a run through the Korg Mr Multi and the VibroChamp and it sounded ace. Pickups (they're Maxon U-1000s, which are the same as the old Ibanez Super 70s) are relatively low output, around 8k each, and have a really nice clarity to them. I think they used Alnico 8 magnets. Anyway, I'd forgotten how much fun the middle position on a Les Paul can be - lots of funky sounds in there to play with.
(PS Don't ask me about the plant. I have no fucking idea what it is.)
