i think i found an early live use of octavia-
2/16/68 - check out the solo on “fire”
sounds like he steps on the wah and leaves it toe down. then you hear another volume boost and slight ring mod like overtones. he ends the solo and turns off the wah. you hear the first rhythm riff or two played with the octavia effect and then he switches it off.

Not hearing octavio on that, I do hear him moving the wah back slightly to more honky sound hence the octave like overtones appearing.

yeah this one is not obvious- listen to the couple riffs after he switches off the wah after the solo

it’s there- i can hear it clearly. only on for a few licks (tinker st)
