How does the fuzz side compare with the Stingray?

I bought the Stingray from joes pedals years ago when Stu did a run of 10 and sold it a few years back.
I didn’t have them at the same time to compare side by side but the Stingray was based on Stus original Vox with different transistors.
The Stingray was PCB where the Mantaray is hanwired with carbon comp resistors and the same tranny’s Stu has in his original.
From memory the Mantaray sounds a bit more gritty and nasty but I have changed amps and guitars in that time.

^ That's my Stingray custom, which Stu built for me in a slightly bigger box with an on/off switch on the knob. Otherwise I think it's the same as the run of 10 he did first. Absolutely KILLER pedal.

Ahh got it off google . Looking at the guts they were the same as the 1-10 stingrays he made for joes. Great indeed.
