The only thing that comes close to a DMM in my opinion is the old Ibanez AD 202 rackmount units. My EHX is just a beat up reissue which is capped at ~350ms of delay time but there's something special about how the echoes all glue together in a reverb-ish way that isn't paralleled even by other DMMs I've heard. Nice collection

Here's two of my faves. The AD-9 always sounds great...just perfectly melds with your original signal in such a great way. I use it for solos all the time. And the moog...it's in a class of its own. I'd say maybe not as "chirpy" sounding as the memory man but it has a ton more headroom, tap tempo, longer delay time, and the modulation is off the chain! I love using the sample and hold to get some wacked out sounding robot synth sounds. And actually it also works really well to very subtlety give the delay tone a sort of crinkled tape echo sound. I haven't even ever messed with the midi functionally but you can obviously set presets for it, use expression pedals to control just about every parameter and access other "hidden" functions (like overclocking the delay chips). It's insane. It also sounds glorious.

The echoczar is also a wonderful pedal. It's modulation is a bit more subtle than a memory man (or the moog) but it has a lot of great features. I love being able to slide between the two delay times. To me it sounds like a DM-2/3 taken to the extreme. It's warmer and less percussive sounding than the memory man or the moog but it sits really well in a mix.

^ You guys should try an AD4096 if you get the chance. If you like bucket delays it's definitely worth a listen.
