Post your MKI Family.

Post your MKI's! Maybe talk about them a bit too!

SonicVI Silicon MKI: Mullard OC201/202. Perfect for the heat. Crisp attack. single note lines sing higher up and lower notes are really defined and full sounding. My main squeeze as of late.

Monolith Santa Muerte: Telefunken OC602, OC76 (X2). Has a bold heft to it that I'm super into. Higher gain than a normal MKI. "Fluid but cutting" as Mike described. Cool Q1 telefunken transistor with a heat sink! its small size and power tap and indicator light make it pedalboard friendly.

Pigdog Man: OC75 (x3). Another pedalboard friendly MKI. Made on strip board with a zonk machine layout. Perfectly tuned MKI in everyway. IMHO, Steve is the best at this circuit. This is a great example of all his skills coming together in a fantastically heavy indestructible enclosure.

Pigdog Electric Eye: OC75, 2G381 (x2). This is number 1. My desert island pedal. Everytime i plug into it im reminded of how awesome this damn pedal sounds. Such an organic sound. The guts are super fancy, like how his amps were constructed BITD.

ITS MY PRECIOUS!!!!

Here's what Steve sent me in Feb 2011...
You're up first. Electric Eye No1:-

Electric Eye is based loosely on the Ronson sound from Spiders era. But, it is a MKI at heart. This is quite a high gain pedal and a bit of a handful, but great fun.

This particular one is in a custom mix gold Hammerite and made with 2G381's an OC75, mounted on old Paxolin and I use the best caps and components available, including Cliff jacks and Carling switches.

Difficult to bias and tune, made all the more harder by the way I make them. I am building them at 1 to 2 units per Month at present. Probably limited to 8, but I may increase the run to 10."

The only one that remains. I've also owned Stu's Supa MKI, Steve's Supa MKI, Steve's Electric Eye in wedge, both versions of the JMI(wooden and early wedge), and a Jerms.
The Pigdog was my first and last. Asked Steve to rebuild and rehouse my old JMI guts, the JMI enclosure got stuffed with the Jerms and eventually sold. :banger:
Obviously Steve went waaaay above and beyond a regular ole rebuild/rehouse! I think the only thing still JMI are the transistors!

:smashed: wait, you didn't sell that gold Loony did you Iain?

I just got hold of this one yesterday:

Other than that I'm the lucky owner of the black Loony Iain posted 2 posts up. I've previously owned a Jerms, Electric Eye and 1965 but the Loony is the one for me. It has 3 x OC82DM's in it.

Do Zonk's count? If so I have this too:
