I haven't played it yet. (Lame) In my haste to buy it I had it sent to my mum's in the US, my default PP address. If you had time to think when trying to buy stuff off his site I would have had it sent here, but it goes too quickly and and I really was on autopilot trying to score the pedal.

Is this also a good place to talk about how incredibly backwards Tym's webshop is?
Y'all must have gone through that horrible experience yourselves when I look at yer collections.

I was aiming to get one of the Seaweeds when he first put em out and missed out big time. I've hassled him on many occasions over the last couple of years to build new ones and of course recently he built 1 of em again and I had alarms set and took all precautions I could think of, but seeing that you've missed out both times during the last confirmation screen you get made me go a little bit mental. I've seen a loy of nice people that I am really happy for that they've scored one too. But the frustration of people who just recently gotten into them also grabbing one, just because they are better internet warriors than I am, just because Tym's webshop works in such a ancient way makes me hella mad, still today.
I've called dibs on most people's post hahahaha hope that'll work out in the future or maybe Tim will build some in the near future, but the little kid inside me is just super sad that he missed out :(
Good things, come to those who hate.

Yes, his webshop is hit-n-miss. I have placed various WTB ads for the last couple years and got a good response initially then it went for a long radio silence. The gear seems to come in waves on the second-hand market. I had some help too on leads and I am really grateful for that.

I consider myself somewhat lucky with his web shop. I have scored some cool builds direct, but I have also swung and missed a lot. The biggest problem I have is not knowing exactly when they are going to go up. Imagine sitting in front of a computer screen continually refreshing your browser window while trying not to nod off asleep. Sometimes he puts them up right when he opens, sometimes not.

Right now, there is a rash of Tym builds on Reverb for inflated prices. His gear is nice and the direct pricing is great but the opportunists seem to be trying to capitalize on that right now.

I missed on the first batch because I tried to change the payment to Credit Card half way through, 2nd batch I just went through and paid on my account, no messing.
One guy said on my IG feed that there were 300 people with it sitting in their baskets and only 5 pedals, I don't think any web store in the world can deal with that

One was up on Reverb this week - https://reverb.com/item/4672959-tym-sea ... hless-fuzz

I saw that one on Reverb. That seems to be in the opportunistic flip category to me. :bong2:

The guy selling that Seaweed buys a lot of Tym builds direct when they pop up, usually sold on a while later. Not a collector, I think just looking for the Mud that delivers the heavy.
He had it less than a week before selling it, and was gushing how good it was when he got it (which it is :marx: ) I'd have picked something else to sell for car repairs before this but tbf he was guaranteed a quick sale with it.
If I was selling I'd contact some of the peeps that missed out first cos I'm nice that way lol.

I don't think he bought to flip, maybe just didn't suit his needs :hmm:

Yes the website is nippy when you think you've got something only to be sold out by the time you get through to the checkout. I was going to try for one of the Lemons tonight but don't think I can handle another allnighter just now, at least they're available on a regular basis.
The more sought after builds will always sell in seconds, first batch Double D went in about a minute, Black Mud took around 10 secs....it's a rush trying to score and it's great when you do.
