Post your vintage amps thread!

Post by Doc Holliday »

This is a thread for vintage amps! Any pre 1970 goes here unless it's cock of the shop!

Starting off with my trusty, fantastic, 1955 Gibson Ga-5 Jnr.
5"x7" oval Rola speaker. 1x Kenrad 6V6 , 1x RCA 6SJ7 and a RCA 5Y3.
4-5watts ... hmmm more like 2watts :D

Selmer sounds great for guitar
moves lots of AIR around
Vox Ac30 and AC50 rock
but the sweetest is the Little marshal
She was modded By Steve Dawson Ex Marshal
Valve designer because the Inputs were a bit weird,
eg Noisey
Super Cool now :tu:

The Magnatone Custom 460 is from 62, the Bassman from 67 and the Dr103 from 77. The rest are post 2000.

Scott will absolutely own this thread but the dark horse here might be jerms. I suspect he's got a collection of killer amps lying around…
^^ Loving that Magnatone Custom!
