Love that tone! I had Steve make me a clone of that one. Doesn't sound nearly as crunchy and crusty, but I attribute that more to the amp Phillip used.

Steve said that that one was a prime example of a vintage MKII. Soupy and thick. The clone he built me is definitey one of the best I've had. Super stable and pretty noise free for a germanium MKII. Soupy, thick and just enough crust and spit to let you know you're plugged into a Fuzz.

What guitar/amp was used in this clip? I'm going to guess the guitar was a Tele. Pretty much the perfect fuzz sound in my head.

An exceptional recording for sure. Super catchy tune, nicely balanced layering, and captures what we crave. Crusty? Yeah. I'm thinking arc welder harmonics. Can't tell what's being played, which can sometimes be the case with MK II's. Maybe Philip can help with the details.

Another super favorite. Note the nice cleanup;

I'm pretty sure Phillip used a ZT solid state amp and a Tele. Probably one of my favorite MKII tones along with Page's Yarbirds era tones.

I'd need to dig deep to remember, but tele and ZT seems right given upload date, probably through Vox Defiant cab with 2x12 speakers instead of the ZT's little speaker.

My memory of this pedal is that it was bloomy and very thick and hairy sound wise. Had that some what elusive slightly broken element to the sound that the oldies all seem to have. An ace MKII!!! :tu:

Yup, seems right, same set up as this vid, but obviously using a mic instead of laptop capturing room sound.
