I’ve compared side by side with a Vexter series, but not another hand painted. The reverse is definitely “fatter” sounding. I was always under the impression that the Fuzz Factory sounds thin or unusable, but when I got the reverse that all changed.freddy_von wrote: ↑Mon Aug 27, 2018 10:15 am ^Woah! Always wanted to try a reverse Fuzz factory. How is it? Compared it to a regular Factory?
The sound is fat, wooly, and fuzzy. Volume clean up is pretty good, definitely usable fuzzy OD sounds. Quite a bit of bass and depending on the combo, in can be a bit messy with note articulation, but this unit is an amazing fuzz pedal. One of my all times favorites.
Zvex kind of released a “reissue” of the reverse. More of just an homage really since he didn’t have the same trannies or do a similar paint job.
EDIT: Here’s a pic of the trannies, think he used Spam can or something similar in the reissue. The OG is marked, but hard to read.
