I may be wrong but I think the Wife is fitted with 0.15nf caps over the usual 0.10nf which will give it more bass :hmm:

Yeah, or 15nF (0.015µF) over 10nF (0.01µF) to be exact. And Dave has made Solas with both setups.

It’s not a feature that was exclusive to Vox branded pedals. All MKIIs from a certain period got it, regardless of brand, so plenty of Supas have them as well. No Sola Sound pedals, though, as it seems that name was dropped in favour of Vox for a while..
Everything is transitional.
