Yeah, that's kinda why I love old wah pedals so much - the feel is so important and, aside from the electronics, it all comes down to the relationship between the enclosure (the treadle in particular), the pot and the gear. Simple idea, but it's hard to get it right.

for more info and people's opinions, there is a sister poll over at gear page. the results are sort of different, indicating different type of player over there(?)
all good, all valid! no link, just search " 6 pots tested in 69 crybaby"

@anemochore, interesting, but i can see the logic behind your guesses. you are wrong , but for the right reasons.

:tu: reminded me the most of mine
Edit: Come to think of it my Gagan probably has the Hotpotz II. Does the Talking Hammer have the Smooth Pot? TH's sweep is very wide.

I thought possibly 1 for the Castledine as it reminded me of my piggy Wah with Stu’s pot

I can see that too. had a hard time distinguishing 1 and 2. My pick was probably more a result of joe's playing.
Heard one sound in 6 that I get from the Castledine but that would be the extent of it.

@Laservampire ---- "Squark", that is a great term for wah sound. and one i've never heard

@anemochore, i usually put 100k gagan smooth pots in the talking hammer, which would explain the wide sweep comment. but there are sometimes exceptions. you can tell if i put a hotpotz2 in there without taking the bottom off, it shows from the side/top.
