Yeah #1 just jumped out at me from the beginning, it must have spoke to me on a subconscious level and that’s why I picked up on it
Btw my Wah is a Pigdog but has a Castledine pot

Speaking of pots, what’s the best cleaning method? I’ve got a slight noise in both my Wilson and Castledine pots.

Deoxit spray will probably sort it out. I don’t know if it’s technically the ‘right’ thing to do, but it’s solved scratchy wah pot problems in the past for me.Laservampire wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 1:31 pm Speaking of pots, what’s the best cleaning method? I've saved several pots with DeoxIT D5. I don't know how anyone could deal with vintage wahs without having this stuff around.
Condolences, the bums lost!

Cleaning depends on the pot, really. Some are totally enclosed and hard to get at; others are very easy to give a quick spray. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it's only a temporary fix. Lots of old wahs will start out crackly and then settle down after a bit of vigorous treadle action, and lots of old wah guys are happy to live with that.

Plus the wood lazer engraving was done by yours truly. So if any digs the top let me know I have a few others I can do.innerflight wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 8:23 am Yeah #1 just jumped out at me from the beginning, it must have spoke to me on a subconscious level and that’s why I picked up on it

Deoxit brand fader cleaner/lube is hard to come by here, is Servisol just as good?

Don't know if it's exactly the same but it's what I (and every guitar/amp tech I've ever known) use here in Oz.rootfifthoctave wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 11:29 am Deoxit brand fader cleaner/lube is hard to come by here, is Servisol just as good?
