Best compressor for someone who already owns a Dyna Comp
I'm looking for suggestions for a compressor that would mainly be used for bass and maybe a little 12 string or 6 string. I already own a Dyna Comp so I'm looking for a different flavor and more control.
Bonus points for something user serviceable if an issue arises.

By user serviceable, l mean no surface mount. Not a dealbreaker.

Have you tried the Origin pedals? Not cheap but nice.

I have had three compressors that I really like. One is a BJF Pine Green compressor, the Analogman Bi-Comp I think it is a great value for the money and super versatile. The last one I have experience with that I really like is the Pete Cornish OC-1 optical compressor. I can personally recommend any of these three. If I was only going to get one it would be the Analogman pedal.
Never argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience

Ross grey compressor: it rules. Although from what I've read quite similar to the dyna in design?

For bass, I've used em all, and ended up a coin toss between the Empress and the Diamond Bass comp (for bass). I loved my Cali 76, but too damn big and worth too much $$$.
Never liked the Dynacomp on bass. The Cali SLide Rig might be worth looking into though for acoustic guitar. But give the two Canadian pedals a shot.

I like the Wampler Ego. Easy to service and the blend function is nice to have.

I would think that that as an alternative to an electrical compressor like a Dynacomp you might want to try an optical one. They have a different attack and feel. I'm not sure what models to suggest, i've only rolled my own, but might be something to look at.
