The Superfuzz Thread

Post by innerflight »

Picked up a Univox Superfuzz style fuzz (will post about later when it arrives) and was wondering as I don’t have much experience with them what your thoughts are? Do they like dirty amps? What pickups preferred etc etc

Post thoughts, pr0n of your own or even songs that you dig with them :tu:

what stella said :crackjam:

they like loud amps. they like single coils. they like buckers too. they like being kicked in the teeth by heavy leather boots. and if you happen to own a white jumpsuit well then you're in for a treat :teeth2:

van's and chucks will also lead to similar outcomes.

I almost always reach over to the amp and turn up the treble and the volume after I turn on a superfuzz.
on guitars with two tone pots you can set up buzzy crunch bridge pickup and +octave searing lead fuzz on the neck pickup.

^ I'm with Rygar - Superfuzz is my favourite octave sound for leads by a long margin.
