Echoplex repair in the US
Does anyone have any recommendations for an Echoplex wizard that could help me get my ep2 back in good health?

Get in touch with @echoplexrepair on Instagram.
He’s retired but should be able to recommend someone.
He turned his repair business over to Benson amps, but they are no longer taking repairs.
You could also try Brian Sours at Soursound.
Or Matt Dawson @allsignalmustpass on Instagram

Send it to your local Amp maker/repair guy. You don't have to spend more than $500 to service an Echoplex.

Re: Echoplex repair in the US
I'll save you the trouble as these are the two guys the echoplexrepair guy on instagram recommended me:
Beasley Valve and Sound Tube Amp repair
Renberg Amp Repair
I can't give any recommendations to either one as I ended up not buying the echoplex I was looking at as both those two options would have been prohibitively expensive. Ended up being cheaper to just buy one in good condition. I'd imagine if your EP-2 isn't completely fucked it'd be easiest and simplest to take it to whatever local amp tech you like. Usually they just need a new pinch roller and possibly some capacitors changed.

Also, make sure the dampening guide thingy that is on the plastic roller is properly tensioned, if not you will get warble.
