Elka fuzz (not dizzy tone)

Post by rucalla »

Hi friends!!

As you can see this is going to be my first question here after having read practically everything that has been written in this wonderful forum.

Does anyone have information or have had the opportunity to try this fuzz? I can not find information on this particular pedal...

http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/elka/fuzz#related

Thanks so much!!!

It looks to be a rebranded Vox tone bender or perhaps the Jen fuzz III circuit. Who knows, could be something crazier lurking inside but by the case shape and everything I'd guess not.

Thanks so much redeyeflight !!!

I got this picture, I had not heard about the Jen fuzz III, but judging by this image I think it's going to be that.

A colleague of mine told me that he had one that belonged to his uncle and I was curious.

Thank you again, always learning!!! :tu:

Picked one up a number of years back and posted some pictures in this forum but it didn't generate much excitement because it was just a rebranded Vox/Jen circuit. Cool fuzz nevertheless. Here's what it looks like:

I wonder if it's the same fuzz as in the Jen Double sound...

Awesome eborej!!!

Regarding sound, could it be compared to something better known? What kind of fuzz is it?

Thanks so much!!!

I'm totally grateful, I do not dislike the original sharp/trebley character but jerms mod is amazing!!! I'm going to ask my colleague if he would not mind lending me...

That's the jen fuzz III. Definitely worth having the Jerms mod done, it makes it quite a nice sounding pedal!
