Lucifer Issue..

Hi There,

I bought it back in Dec and I'm absolutely in love with my Lucifer Rising but I'm having an issue when trying to power it from a brick.

It works completely fine with a battery but when I plug it into a supply it kills my chain when engaged.
Also the LED doesn't come on and no sound comes out.

It works fine with a battery apart from it being a little background noisey (the background noise seems to be reduced when fiddling with the input and output a little)

Is this normal? :hmm: Its plugged into 9v DC.

Thanks for the help.

Someone correct me if I am wrong...

The lucifer Rising is the EFE version of the Buzzaround wich is a positive ground circuit; so, I guess the Luci is a pos. Ground circuit.
If it's the case, you can't daisy chain it with negative ground pedals (most are neg. ground these days)

Is it reverse polarity? So you won't be able to "daisy chain" it with other pedals, it would need its own power source, so yeah perfectly normal

Edit- Marc-Eric beat me to it :tu:

Wait!!! The pedal is NOT reverse polarity, but has positive ground. So, either use a battery, or a power supply with ISOLATED outputs (you cannot daisy chain it). That's it. I run mine with no issues with all my isolated PS and standard power wiring. :tu:

In that case I'm needing to buy an isolated power source :)
