A grand total of 20. First one April 2017, last one December 2018.

Nice! Just scored one. Gonna have a badger fight between it and the Ghost dizzy tone in a few days.

Maybe document and share here?
Could be interesting to hear them try to out-scare one another...

Ghost dizzytone #25 and D*A*M dizzytron #14. Cousins from either side of the same valley. John Lyons/Basic Audio did the enclosure, Ian the circuit for this dizzytone back in 2011.

As with all dizzys/buzzes I have played, the controls interact a lot, and so it’s a bit apples-and-oranges without mucho fiddling to try and match settings between the two.

With controls wide open or close to it, they sound very similar. It’s hard to tell what a badger looks like or pick up on its regional accent when it’s eating your face. Furious anger/furious anger.

With controls set not so extreme, and/or guitar volume rolled down, the differences become much more prominent. The Ghost has a lot more high-end frequency content, while the dizzytron is very solid in the lows/low mids and much beefier. The Ghost is also generally more compressed, gates more, and has a more aggressive velcro rip throughout the settings; the tron only gets this same rip with the sustain cranked and otherwise has a smoother decay. They are both about the same when it comes to overall output level. The Ghost gets louder earlier on in the controls and then squashes. The DAM stays lower until knobs are further up.

Righteous work from both builders!!

Awesome! I've been playing my Buzzotron a bit more lately, wonder how that beast compares to the Dizzy's.
