I went into one of the bigger supermarkets that have a dedicated fish delicatessen and told them that I wanted an octopus. They said they could get me a Mediterranean Sea Octopus, but it would take a few days for it to arrive. It set me back $22 (current exchange rate), but it was definitely worth it. I was going to cook it after the photo shooting, but after having it out for quite some time for all the shots I just felt a bit unsure if it would be a wise thing to do
