For me, I tried taking my D*A*M shots inside a strict Hindu temple and insensitively caused a stir.
They thought I was a fuzzbomber with my box of "pedals" and my attire/hair/beard which happened too be a little scary taking into consideration the recent bombings in Mumbai. There was also a sign clear as day "NO PHOTOGRAPHY OF ANY KIND", plus I was putting my fuzzwrong on the various altars trying to get shots. I behaved with great stupidity, which I do too often, and I'm a slow, slow learner.
I was reprimanded, left, police and fire engines pulled up, I found some disgarded deities outside the temple and brought them with me. I thought I left behind a MKII and 66. Got into a fight on the way home. It was a pretty dark experience.
But I love all the shots! Contest ruled! Nextime maybe I'll get more into fantasy than in doing something that could have too many consequences.

Thanks for sharing your story Sundayfeast. I have been on tenterhooks wondering what happened. Hope all is sorted out for you. FWIW, I almost did the same thing and decided against it at the last minute.... I might still do it next time, but will make sure no one is around first...
