Not exciting and fuzzy but something different altogether, an amp-in-a-box based on the 50s Bell & Howell film projector tube amp!

Let's see if it sounds better than in their hipster filled videos....

At first I was a little disappointed compared to my Bearfoot Model G, but it turns out those tone knobs are very interactive and powerful (you can use them to make bad sounds, as opposed to the tone knob on the Model G which is good all the way round).

At minimum gain, it’s a lovely clean tube amp sound, getting up to about the same level of gain as a Klon at full, but nowhere as brittle sounding into a clean amp.

Noise levels are superb, even with the gain maxed (unlike the Supro Drive which was hissy even at minimum gain!)

I’ll need a few more days to go over it but it seems like a very versatile little pedal so far!

The best sleeper fuzz that $60 can buy. How are these not a desirable modern classic?!

The damage switch turns it from a Boss FZ-3, kinda Muff-y tone to full out gated chaotic buzzsaw. Does a perfect nasal George Harrison “What Is Life” fuzz!

Damage 100%, volume maxed, tone maxed, fuzz on minimum and a half dead battery. Run that into an amp verging on breakup :freakout:

FZ7 is a total winner. I think I paid £25 for mine about 7 years ago, so they are increasing in value gradually. I love how the fuzz goes from just right when it’s on minimum to holy shitballs OTT, octave on maximum.

The mad gating on damage 100%, fuzz maxed is great fun. Stutters and squawks like crazy.

Really like that setting! Will be fun giving a go when I pull the tweed deluxe out next.

Gets more gated when the battery is half dead too.
