I've got on well enough with staytrem on my VI, but I never use it with whammy bar.

I still get some rattling, but as it was an improvement on the stock bridge I was happy enough.

Intonation is a function of string gauge and wind, though. I fully believe that yours intonates fine with a Mastery and whatever strings you're running, but you have to admit that its short-sighted to suggest that a Jag/JM Mastery, without any extended range, is intoneable (intonateable?) with a wide variety of Bass VI string sets. Doing so would imply that Leo never needed to redesign the bridge for the 60's VI in the first place.

Never had any rattle issue with my Staytrem, as of yet.

Personally I just wish someone made a cheap wide bridge with the traditional saddles.

I had a Staytrem on my Jag and while I loved the stability it just took all the character out of the guitar.

I was very lucky with my Fender Japan VI, as the previous owner had sunk a lot into it, Novak pickups and the Mastery, intonates spot on with La Bella rounds (to my ear). I also have a Squier which is still all stock and rattles like crazy! Sounds great though and fun to play.. might try a Staytrem on it... other mods in mind too. Love VIs
