I didn’t like the original/vintage fender reverbs. I think the reissue sounds a lot better...

Well, this is the newest, shiniest, least vintage ratfucked, thing I've bought in a long time.
40th anniversary Old Smoothie Stingray.
To make it an even sweeter deal, I paid for it with cash from 4 shows I'm playing this weekend -- first time I've been paid to show up to rehearsals, so that coupled with the performance $$ paid for the bass. Stoked.

That is just my personal feeling and how it fits in my playing style. The reissue is more intense with the 6V6, has more "twang and swoosh". Although it needs that cap job to sound like that.
About 3 years ago i sold my 64 original. Couldn't justify keeping it...
