As a kid in Seattle this was the only sport that mattered to me, Early August, sunny days meant girls in bikinis. My Dad called it the worlds longest bar. Why does nobody put tele pup's into Les Pauls?

I have a 50s LPJr that someone has put a Tele pickup in at one point in its life.

Makes sense to me, but how would it work, two independent volume pots? Is there a new channel drilled through from the output for the hookup wire? If i saw this somewhere else I'd assume advanced photoshop skills, but the level of detail required would also indicate insanity.
