That article isn't quite accurate. ALL MARKETS are up since last week. The Dow and S&P 500 are both back where they were before the brexit. It was a non-event to most markets other than currency... And that drop in the pound and euro stabilized after 24-48 hours.

The rest of the brexit is a process not an event, so any further financial effects will take months-years to occur.

for giggles I looked up the DAX and CAC the German and French stock exchanges....

DAX opened @ 9763 on Jan 22
DAX opened @ 9743 on Jul 1

CAC opened @ 4268 on Jan 19
CAC opened @ 4261 on Jul 1

All markets fell much further this past February on rumor the US federal reserve was going to raise rates and Chinese currency manipulation / slowing economy.

You are quite wrong, unfortunately. We will be feeling the effects of this fuckup for decades!

I think I've learned more from this thread than I have of watching the news. Keep it up.

Sorry to drag this up again but I think we've just seen the first obvious consequence. ARM have been bought out by a Japanese bank. Given that the pound has dropped so drastically against the Yen it's probably a bargain. Goodbye to the UK's number one tech company.

BTW if you don't know who ARM are, their microcontroller designs are probably to be found in your phone, drone, fridge, car, etc.
