Bordering on being off-topic, but anyone tried the Acid Fuzz Mk II with their reproduction trannies? Would like to pick up an affordable Mk II soon-ish and had been wondering what the verdict is.

If they're tuned, they are certainly not tuned to vintage MKII specs.NoctisAvis wrote:

Very interesting indeed.
Had no idea he was having these made, seems like they’ve been at it for quite some time as well.
Wonder why he’s still using NOS transistors in his builds.
So are these the same transistors as were used by VPW right? Always wondered where they got those metal can OC75’s from.

I’m talking about the metal can OC75’s they used in their Mk-II, look the same to me, could be wrong though.
Steve Giles of VPW moved to JMI so maybe he brought his stash/source?
Nothing dodgy about those transistors as far as I’m concerned, as long as they’re not advertised as NOS

I found some of those metal can OC75's in a VPW zonk.... I had to pull them to get it to sound right..... It was super hissy noisy....

When I see a JMI/BPC on a Super Special Sale, oftentimes I'll think, "That's a good deal!" Then I read sobering threads such as this...
