Buy some used Lollars. I've always had great luck with his Imperial hum buggies (and his Stat PU's also!).

I remember that he did too. It must have been a limited release, because it's no longer on the site. Here we go:anemochore wrote:for some reason thought he did a PAF

Re: Gibson Les Paul
I just got a pair of pickups from OX4 a few weeks back and couldn't be happier. They were done a week after my order and were wound the way that I specified. When I think of it, this might be the first time that things have actually gone the way it was supposed to when ordering a pair of bespoke pickups.
I'm now thinking of ordering another pair for my 335.

Re: Gibson Les Paul
I have a set of OX4 in my Tokai. They’re fantastic and customer service was fantastic. I have a Creamtone harness with drifted Bees as well.
My other Tokai has Throbak PG102s and the same Creamtone harness.
The guitars sound pretty different. The OX4s lean more toward Bloomfield, bright and clear. The PG102s are raunchy and full of grunt. Plus the out of phase middle.

Another one that came to mind are the RS Guitar works pickups. They make a True 60s set that are really nice.
Never argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience

Bare knuckle mules are also great! Little bit more aggressive than the OX4’s. I prefer the OX4’s though.
Yep my A4’s are clear and bright. My A2 and A5 combo are not as bright nor clear but sound awesome. Think they’re a little hotter!
