Re: Tele Talk
I bought this recently on a bit of a whim, but it sounds great. Very happy with it and I think I got a pretty good deal. It's a 2008, American made and is basically mint.

Re: Tele Talk
Reviving this thread.
Theoretically, if I wanted a Tele with a solid body, at least one humbucker and a rosewood fretboard, what are my options? I love me a Tele Deluxe with a Strat headstock but it's hard to find those with a rosewood board. I also love a good Tele Custom, with just the neck humbucker. Thinlines are out. So what's in (and preferably under $1K)? Are any of the Japanese or US reissues any good?

I have a black MIM 72 Custom and it has changed my opinion of non US Fenders. I usually play CS instruments and this one ain’t too far away. Beautifully resonant and has a great vibe.

Re: Tele Talk
I don't think any tele deluxes have rosewood necks.... In the late 70's you could get tele customs w rosewood but they're def rare... I don't think any reissues of either have rosewood necks tho....

Re: Tele Talk
I’ve always had a love/hate thing with Teles.
I’ve had a few over the years and recently had a candy apple red with Rosewood fret board but I’ve always preferred maple on fenders.
They all sounded great with the fuzz!

They are currently made with either maple or rosewood - https://www.dawsons.co.uk/fender-classi ... gIEN_D_BwE

I just got this 92/93 Fender MIJ Esquire. The owner had a luthier install this Bigsby and he did a great job. It plays like a dream.
