RIP Chris Cornell soundgarden/audio slave
Sad day for the grunge era kids!
I remember playing black hole sun over and over again. Lying down on my bed after a day of school just letting it soak in! Watched him in 2005 at a slave concert at the Wolverhampton civic too! Great vocals and great guy.

I'm so fucking pissed I can't believe it waking up to this. One of the best concerts I've seen. Saw them about 2-3 years ago in Philia they played for like 4 hours.

Wouldn't have thought so.... I'm guessing either underlying medical problem?! Not sure if he was/has been suffering with depression etc? There was a lot of stuff going on in that head of his. His lyrics were some of the deepest, heartfelt and creative I've read/heard.

Sad news indeed, Chris was a fantastic singer and Superunknown has always been one of my favourite albums. Total bummer. RIP Chris

I also thought this might be the case. I wonder why his wife asked someone to "look in on him" just hours after the show though....stella_blues wrote:Or a similar way Michael Hutchence went.DucRyder wrote:The Detroit TV stations are saying "found with something around his neck". That is just so sad! Such an amazing talent... truly one of the greats not just from the grunge era but from all eras...
Will be sadly missed.

One of my biggest influences back in my early 20's. Will be missed a lot. RIP.
