Think I read ... he said it took over his life building those old ones. He said he put it before family, and would sometimes work through the night trying to keep up with orders as it meant that much to him to produce something everyone wanted and he got to take all the credit as a one man band. In the end he couldn't keep up with demand and got stressed out. Decided to stop production while he worked something else out. Hence getting someone else to produce them for him. I think I read this from him on TGP years ago. Why he changed the enclosure though... who knows

He changed the enclosures because the cast ones were really a major pain in the ass to deal with from a production standpoint.

I will not comment on any other factors that may've been involved in his decisions.

He could still outsource those enclosures and focus on the PCB but I guess that is all in the past now

A discussion of klons/klones on here is disconcerting.

They'd always been outsourced. Finnegan never has his own foundry. Although, if he had, it "might've" solved his "problems".

I was really only wondering if anyone had tried the Ceriatone version

Haha ace. TBH I've never been a TGP member. Take what I said with a pinch of salt as it was a while ago when I googled the KTR to see what the deal was.
I don't know anything about the guy.
Anywho... I have ARC v2 which cuts it for me but thanks to bottlerocket I msg Nik and I'm on the list. In 3yrs I may own one yesss!
