Anyone familiar with this 1968 Supa Fuzz? Thoughts?

Post by vanguard »

I'm in the market for a vero board Supa, and this one looks nice to me. I'm not near the expert many folks here are; in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if someone on here has owned it at some point. Any thoughts from the lads regarding authenticity, typical tones, etc. of this fella, and others of similar genesis?

it's not the most collectable version. I've heard a similar one that was excellent though. it's probably at least double the average price. also the seller is not reputable and i think I've heard that this particular one is possibly not all original.

And off to a good start!! Thanks

I don't really care about collectibility; I just want it on vero, in a giant box, with OG OC75's, and grouchy as fukkk.

I owned one just like that. I don't know if it's worth $2,200 though.. looks like the one I had. They sound great!

I also had one like that, sounded pretty good, that price is massively crackpipe though, think I sold mine for about a third of that

Music Ground / Hanks guitar shop is owned by the Harrisons, google them, I wouldn't give my money to them if I was you :tu:

- I hate this zebra carpet... whatever the pedal displayed over it :banger:
- I see two different pots models : not sure it's stock :badteeth: :hmm:
- Not everyday you can score cool pedals for a fair price at Harrisons... not this time.
- If you don't care about collectibility, a 1700GBP pedal is an odd target.

Haven't heard any sound out of this one, but I am sure you can get one from a better source, for a better price.

My 2 cents.
