Let's play "Name That Fuzz!"
It's from Zambia, around 1974. Guitarist is Victor Kasoma, band is Oscillations. Dude could play, even (apparently) when spinning on his back without a guitar in his hands. Anyway, there's a fuzzbox in the frame and I figured it might be fun to guess what it is. So, best guesses… Zambia… 1974… GO!

^ Yeah, I was thinking that it looks like a Colorsound enclosure. And it looks like three knobs. Footswitch is lost in the shot (thanks to the flash/over exposure/process of time).
Zambia was a former British "protectorate" (mostly they were protecting the copper deposits) and only got its independence in late 1964, so there was definitely a British influence there. Maybe Macari's had a shop in downtown Lusaka…
There weren't any Japanese enclosures that shape at the time, were there?
No Oscillations tracks on YouTube. But you can hear the fuzz on "Request to God", their best-known track, here: https://www.beatport.com/track/request- ... ix/9456955

I also think it might be a Supa Tonebender… and the guitar looks like it may be a Jedson "Telecaster".

^ You see Supas everywhere, Philip! But it could be.
And Ant, I dig that Photoshop work. Also love the idea that a Colorsound pedal was making ace fuzzy noises in Zambia in the early 70s.
Might be worth asking the man himself if he remembers the pedal - we never forget a good pedal, right? I'm not on Facebook (waiting to see if it catches on) but if anyone feels like dropping him a line…
