Recommendations for Chicago?

Post by Zuff-1A »

Hello friends!

I'll fly to Chicago and I'm there on February 21-25 (we play with band on one private show).
I would be very grateful for the advice you have about the cool places where you can check band lives.
And of course for info about second hand guitar and clothe's shop's and art museums.

??

Irazu. It’s a Costa Rican restaurant that is fantastic. I ate there on tour a year or so ago and loved it.

cool! where are you going to stay? will you have a car? What's your food/music/art tastes?

irazu is very good. i recommend the mango milkshake

midwest buy and sell http://midwestbuynsell.com is a great gear shop. their inventory changes often. mainly used.

chicago music exchange is nice too.

it could be bitterly cold or unseasonably pleasant...

Thanks a lot!
Will check definately Irazu and advised shops and venues!
It's always good to look something definite!
We stay actually quite far from middle but our friend's sure have car
or we will rent one...
I tend like more fish and "modern" art (after 1880) but sure all food and art is :tu:
because the main thing is US and Chicago

The product placement can get a bit heavy at times, but this Chicago "Field Guide" with Jeff Tweedy is worth a look: https://huckberry.com/special-projects/ ... cago-intro
Been a while since I've visited Chicago, but the museums and architecture are insanely good. The Museum of Contemporary Art is definitely worth a look.

The Metro is a good place to see a band, in my limited experience. The Decibel Tour is going through there on the 23rd.

The Athletic Association is a great place to get a drink and is a nice walk away from the Field Museum (assuming it's not balls cold).

Maude's is a nice place for a meal, though expensive. The seafood tower might be up your alley...
