Lucky Greco, Tokai, Burny etc made so many good Gibsons in the early 80s, huh? 
But seriously, everybody knew this day was coming as soon as they started in with the robot tuners. The company/leadership (if you could call it that) might disappear, but the brand will survive. And you can never take the history away. A chance for a fresh start might be best for everyone.
