What's happening in France today?
Captain, et al mods, remove if you think this is out of place...but we have friends there that could shed some light on the subject.
What is happening in France right now? There is scant detailed coverage here in the States. How dangerous is the situation there? Is this super serious or just isolated rioters? Is this a French resistance against Marcon or a foriegn aggitation taking advantage of the tax changes?

mostly this... Macron today, but this could this happened with previous president and will probably happen with the next one.
"People" want less taxes, more money,etc... they say it loud in the streets. This would is the ususal and fair democratic game. Problem is that morons are taking advantage of this to destroy cars, shops, and even 300+ years historical pieces that makes Paris looks nice.
Those morons don't really care about demonstrator's claimings... but I guess that a big part of demonstrators are not that unhappy to see that riots helps "making more noise". Etc...

Not the way I'd dress for a riot...looks to work for this anarchist.

Looks like Macron backtracked on the gas tax today. I'll bet it's just a temporary appeasement to calm the opposition down...for now.

Not so sure it's gonna be that quiet this week end... A few major events (scheduled saturday/sunday) have been cancelled, relocated, far from Champs Elysées for example. (Big national charity event).

Raf, looks like you are getting a year end bonus. That Marcon sure is generous.
